Bio:

Benjamin Venancie is a 30-year old French CG artist graduated from ESRA, a French school specializing in computer graphics and 3d animation. He started his career in 2004 at worldwide famous Buf Cie, Paris. One of the leading European companies in the field of visual effects for the film and advertising industries, Buf Cie has won several international awards for the superb quality of its visual effects. Benjamin was part of the team that worked on Luc Besson’s Arthur and The Invisibles, a part-animated, part-live action feature film which won the Best Feature Film Imagina award in the category Prix du Long-Métrage.
Following this, Benjamin rapidly got promoted as a CG supervisor working on international, high-end movies, including Spiderman 3 (Sam Raimi) and Speed Racer (Wachowski Brothers). This amazing 4-year experience in Paris led to a job offer from Dreamworks Animation SKG in Los Angeles. Since July 2008, Benjamin has been working as a lighting and compositing artist on major feature projects such as Monsters Vs Aliens, Shrek Forever After, Megamind and Kung Fu Panda 2, proving day after day his ability to create stunning shots. He was promoted to lead lighter in 2011. Benjamin also has a passion for photography, which he shares through his blog and Flickr.
